USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce the teams and competition schedule for the 2023 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympic Games, which will be held at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa from August 2 to 5. In the sport of field hockey, USA Field Hockey has selected six teams to participate in the annual sanctioned event.
Athlete selections for this year’s event were confirmed following the conclusion of the 2023 Nexus Championship, presented by Osaka Hockey, which was held at Virginia Beach Regional Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. from July 6 through July 16.

2023 AAU Junior Olympic Games Teams & Rosters
With six teams, the format will start with practice and then into a round robin style competition with all teams in one pool. Each team will play every other team once over the course of the first three days with the final placements awarded based on overall record and tiebreakers.

The AAU Junior Olympic Games are known as the largest multi-sport event for youth in the United States. The event provides U-16 female athletes the opportunity to experience an Olympic-like multi-sport competition while enjoying the camaraderie and inspiration from top athletes in other featured sports.
