ALDI and the Heartland Soccer Association are proud to announce their renewed partnership for the 2019 fall soccer season, marking the fourth consecutive year that ALDI will serve as the title sponsor of the ALDI Heartland Invitational Soccer Tournament.

With more than 1,900 stores in the U.S., ALDI delivers local shoppers high quality food and a convenient shopping experience, while saving them both time and money. ALDI is investing $1.9 billion investment to remodel and expand more than 1,300 U.S. stores by the end of 2020, ALDI has committed $30 million locally to update 20 stores in Kansas City and the surrounding metropolitan area.

The Heartland Soccer Association is a non-profit organization that operates the largest tournaments in the Midwest and is recognized as the leading and most competitive youth soccer league in the country. More than 2800 teams from around the central U.S. travel to compete in the Heartland tournaments each year. In 2018, Heartland welcomed 800 teams to the ALDI Heartland Invitational, and with continued support from ALDI, Heartland anticipates another year of great team participation, with 700 to 800 teams expected to compete across both weekends.

Tournament Details - The Heartland Invitational Soccer tournament took place over two weekends in November, with the girls’ games scheduled for Nov. 1, 2019 through Nov. 3, 2019, and the boys’ games from Nov. 8, 2019 through Nov. 10, 2019. Tournament games will be played at the SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex and the New Garmin Olathe Soccer complex. Both locations are state-of-the-art lighted all-turf fields.

About Heartland Soccer Association - Heartland Soccer Association is the largest youth soccer league in the country with more than 1,300 league teams per season, 21,000 league youth players, 2,600 tournament teams each year, 44,000 tournament players each year, 4,000 coaches and 2,000 active referees. Heartland Soccer Association was formed in 1977 as the Johnson County Soccer League and has grown from an initial 600 players to its current size. Today Heartland Soccer Association is a nonprofit and educational youth soccer association. Although the base for Heartland Soccer is still Johnson County, it now draws teams to play in the league from throughout the metro area.
