Olathe Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Tim McKee announced the appointment of Kelly Peetoom as Vice President of the Olathe Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Peetoom, who has spent the past 10 years with the Overland Park CVB, will begin his new duties Sept. 14.
While at Overland Park, Peetoom most recently served as the vice president of sales. His additional experience there includes directing the community's sports alliance and serving as convention sales manager. He also has significant experience in the hotel industry at four different properties in metro Kansas City. A graduate from the University of Central Missouri, he is certified as an association sales executive, sports event executive and destination specialist for the state of Kansas. He has also served on numerous boards and committees in the convention and sales industry.
“We are excited to have Kelly join our team,” McKee says. “He was highly-recommended by numerous individuals in the industry and the region.
