The schedule is now available for the 2017 US Youth Soccer Region II Presidents Cup, which will take place June 15-19 at the Overland Park Soccer Complex in Overland Park, Kan.
The event will feature over 110 US Youth Soccer Region II teams in the 13U through 17/18U age groups competing for a regional title and a berth to the 2017 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 12-16 in Auburndale, Fla. As a growing event, this year’s Region II Presidents Cup will include the most teams it has ever seen.
“Kansas State Youth Soccer and its members are excited and honored to be hosting the 2017 Region II Presidents Cup,” Kansas State Youth Soccer Association’s Executive Director Chris Duke said. “We have hosted this great event in the past, and not only want our participants to enjoy this memorable experience, but to once again show what this incredible city has to offer.”
Preliminary games will take place from Thursday, June 15 through Saturday, June 17. Semifinals for the 15U boys and 13U through 14U age groups will take place on Sunday, June 18, while the 15U girls and the 16U through 17/18U age groups will play the championship match that day. Regional champions for the 13U through 14U age groups along with the 15U boys will be crowned following final matches on Sunday, June 19.
Kansas State Youth Soccer Association will host the event, and the other 13 State Associations represented include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio North, Ohio South, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup offers teams the challenge of experiencing different types of play by competing from state to regional to national levels. The Presidents Cup provides teams with a progressive, competitive experience that highlights competition, camaraderie and community.
