Heartland Soccer Association, America’s largest youth soccer league and tournament host, ends its Fall Tournament Series this weekend, November 11-13th, with a sold out all boys weekend at the Heartland Invitational Tournament. More than 400 teams will travel to the SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex and the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex for this end of season showdown.
With teams traveling in from all over the Kansas City metropolitan area and various states, the economic impact is estimated to be $5.9 million over the weekend.
“The Heartland Invitational continues its reputation as the biggest and best tournament in the Kansas City area; split over two weekends (Girls weekend and Boys weekend) to accommodate the number of teams wanting a chance to compete one last time,” explained Shane Hackett, Heartland Soccer executive director. “We are excited to welcome more than 400 teams to our community for the final weekend of play in our Fall Tournament Series.”
The first set of games will start at 5:30PM on Friday. Saturday and Sunday games will begin at approximately 8:00AM with the award ceremonies starting after noon on Sunday.
