Derby Festival Announcing Changes to Runner Experiences

The Kentucky Derby Festival is offering runners the ultimate race day with a new VIP Experience Presented by ZEGGZ. This new VIP package is for runners participating it the 2018 miniMarathon/Marathon Presented by Walmart and Humana on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Runners can upgrade to VIP status once they register for the race at DerbyFestivalMarathon.com. Tickets for the VIP Experience are $65 each and include the following amenities:

• Early access to Race Expo & Packet Pick-up

• Reserved parking at the Start/Finish Line

• Finish line hospitality featuring ZEGGZ chef-on-demand and a signature cocktail by Jim Beam

• Complimentary runner recovery massages by ProRehab Physical Therapy

• Unique VIP photo opportunities

• Private changing area and restrooms at the Finish Line

"We’re always looking for ways to enhance our race experience for participants" said Shanna Ward, Race Director. “This year we’re offering a new option for runners who prefer special access. We’ll also still have our Post Race Party and Runners’ Reunite area at the Finish, complete with all the amenities our runners have grown accustomed to.”

The Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon and Marathon is still the largest annual day of road racing in Kentucky. 2018 will mark the 45th annual miniMarathon and 17th annual Marathon. Both races will start simultaneously at 7:30 am on Main Street near Slugger Field and will finish at Preston and Witherspoon streets.
