The Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic, the longest running high school all-star game in the country, returns to Freedom Hall Friday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. bringing some of the top high school basketball players to Louisville.
This year’s team includes three University of Louisville commits, Jaylen Johnson, Chinanu Onuaku and Quentin Snider and two Indiana University commits, Max Hoetzel and Robert Johnson. Other schools represented include Xavier, Florida, Notre Dame, UCLA, UNLV, Oregon and Maryland.
The Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic started in 1973 and former participants include Jamal Mashburn, Rex Chapman, Pervis Ellison, Derek Anderson and Michael Beasley. The event has helped raise more than $800,000 for charitable organizations including the Ronald McDonald House, Kosair Charities and WHAS Crusade for Children.
Admission is $13 and $18 for reserved seating and $50 for VIP courtside seats. Tickets are available at the Kentucky Exposition Center and the Kentucky International Convention Center Ticket Offices. Tickets are also available at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and online at and www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets include free admission to the Night of Future Stars held Thursday, April 17 at Floyd Central High School at 7 p.m.
Parking at the Kentucky Exposition Center is $8 per vehicle.
