Gymnasts will tumble, bounce and flip into Louisville for the United States Trampoline and Tumbling Association National Championships now through Saturday, June 21 at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
More than 2,300 gymnasts are expected to compete in tumbling, trampoline, synchronized trampoline and double-mini trampoline at the 2014 USTA National Championships.
Held in Broadbent Arena, competitions run Tuesday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Parade of Champions on June 20 at 12:30 p.m. features elite athletes demonstrating flips and tricks. Erin Jauch, a member of the 2013 World double-mini gold medal team, is among several world champions competing at the event.
Trampoline and Tumbling is an Olympic sport where athletes perform high-flying stunts on a variety of trampolines. Gymnasts can jump as high as 25 feet in the air to gain momentum for daring flips and twists.
Admission is $11 for a one-day pass, $15 two-day passes, $21 three-day passes, $25 four-day passes and $28 for five-day passes. Children 3 and under are free. Parking at the Kentucky Exposition Center is $8 per vehicle.
