Rhino Lacrosse is pleased to announce that team registration is now open for the company’s first annual Maine Lacrosse Classic. This first time event offered by Rhino Lacrosse includes youth boys’ competition in 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 grades as well as HS and HS Elite divisions.
Company founder Ryan Powell will serve as the tournament director for this inaugural event, which takes place June 26 - 28, 2015, at Wainwright Farm and Sports Complex in South Portland, ME.
“Rhino Lacrosse has successfully launched the Saratoga Springs Lacrosse Shootout and the Oregon Lacrosse Classic over the past two summers, with the goal of creating something that was more than just another summer tournament,” said Powell. “The events turned into a lacrosse festival… a place where teams, players and their families enjoyed the perfect combination of fun and competition in unmatched atmospheres like Saratoga Springs, New York & Bend, Oregon. In 2015, we’re excited to bring this lacrosse festival experience to beautiful Portland, Maine.”
The Maine Lacrosse Classic kicks off with opening ceremonies on Friday night along with the world famous “Powell Hour” performance including Mike and Ryan Powell. Throughout the weekend there will be plenty of off-field fun including professional player demonstrations, player and coaching clinics directed by college coaches, 3v3 mini tournament, players lounge, food trucks, vendor village, live music and more.
