Hockey Manitoba Announces Details for Event

In conjunction with the 100 Hockey Moments exhibit launch at the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame, Hockey Manitoba will draw the early bird grand prize winner from the myTeam Manitoba Sweepstakes. 

The early bird draw prize will award an all expenses paid trip for two to the 2015 World Junior Championship semi-finals and final  in Toronto, ON. In the myTeam Manitoba Sweepstakes, participants can choose their all-time Team Manitoba line-up to be instantly entered to win approximately 75 prizes valued at over $25,000, including the grand prize for a suite at the Winnipeg Jets home game on March 21 vs. the Washington Capitals along with 16 suite tickets for family and friends.
 
Hockey Manitoba's 100th Anniversary celebrations continue with forthcoming special events and initiatives including Project 100 presented by Scotiabank, December 12-14 in Winnipeg. Throughout the weekend, fans will be treated to some great hockey with the Female Bantam AAA MTS Showcase Challenge, MWJHL All-Star Game, Female Peewee Challenge and Sport School exhibition series. There are also numerous development programs and camps scheduled such as the Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest, JUST PLAY Discovery Days program, and a Skills & Drills Specialty Clinic for female coaches.
 
Additional programs continuing throughout the 100th Anniversary season include our free Reebok youth hockey stick giveaway to all registered players born in 2008 and 2009, $25,0000 in Soctiabank community grants to Minor Hockey Associations and the 100th Anniversary Outdoor Series presented by Scotiabank on February 15, 2015. Hundreds of teams throughout the province will participate in the once in a lifetime event to celebrate Manitoba hockey heritage in outdoor games with special commemorative 100th Anniversary jerseys and socks.
 
The 100th Anniversary celebrations will come to a close on May 9, 2015 with the Gala Dinner presented by Scotiabank featuring high profile guest speakers, live entertainment and recognition of historic figures that have shaped the game of hockey in Manitoba.
