En garde! Fence-a-thon, a unique all-night sports sword dueling event for charity, will come to the Maryland region this weekend.
FENCE-A-THON is an all-night-long celebration of fencing to benefit the educational programs of CFC. The fifteenth annual FENCE-A-THON will be held in the gymnasium of the Liberty Christian School at 11303 Liberty Road in Owings Mills.
Registration 7-8 p.m. with fencing beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24th and continuing until 5 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25th.
Highlights include electrical fencing in all three weapons (foil, saber, epee), swordplay demonstrations and door prizes.
The event will benefit the educational programs of The Chesapeake Fencing Club and The Sisters Academy of Baltimore.
