Lowell, MA Hosts USA Field Hockey Summer Bash Series Northeast for Second Year in a Row

The Greater Merrimack Valley will be welcoming back USA Field Hockey for the second year in a row as they bring their 2019 Summer Bash Series, presented by YOLO Sportswear, to the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. The Summers Bash Northeast will take place at the university from June 29 – 30.

“Sports event planners, and Team USA National Governing Bodies like USA Field Hockey, are such valuable partners to the Greater Merrimack Valley CVB,” said Tom Fitzmaurice, Executive Director, Greater Merrimack Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We look forward to welcoming back USA Field Hockey representatives, competitors, and attendees to Lowell and ensuring their stay with us is a memorable one.”

Teams attending the Summer Bash Northeast are guaranteed four games in pools of five teams. Matches will be played in a 7v7 format with a maximum roster size of 12 athletes. The University of Massachusetts, Lowell boasts state-of-the-art water-based turf fields and provides the very best surfaces available for the sport.

“We are very much looking forward to being back at UMass Lowell,” said Madeline Hoeppner, USA Field Hockey’s interim Events and Club Services Manager. “We hope the Summer Bash Series continues to expose the sport in a fun, educational, and competitive tournament environment.”
