The Meijer State Games of Michigan will add spikeball to the 2019 Summer Games lineup. The Meijer State Games of Michigan is now offering over 45 sports in this year’s event lineup.
Along with the addition of spikeball, the Meijer State Games of Michigan will continue to incorporate two sports previously added in 2018. Ninja and paintball will once again be a part of the Summer Games after their debut last summer.
Spikeball is scheduled to take place during the main weekend of the Summer Games, on Saturday, June 22, at Douglas Walker Park (1195 84th St SW, Byron Center, MI 49315). Paintball will take place on Sunday, June 23, at TC Paintball (2070 Waldorf St NW, Grand Rapids, MI, 49544). Ninja is scheduled after the main weekend.
Ninja is will take place the following weekend, Saturday, June 29 at RockFit Ninjas (8830 Belding Road NE, Rockford, MI 49341).
Registration for spikeball, ninja and paintball are currently open. The team registration fee for spikeball is $20, individual registration is $10 per person. Players can register in beginner or advanced divisions.
Ninja will have four age divisions: 7-years-old to 9-years-old, 10-years-old to 13-years-old, 14-years-old to 17-years-old and 18-years-old and older. Registration fees vary from $20 to $35 depending on age division.
Paintball will have three divisions: rental only, novice and advanced. The rental only division will include free equipment rental and a $60 team entry fee. The novice division will not include equipment and will be a $90 team entry fee. The advanced division will not include equipment and will be a $100 team entry. Teams will be comprised of 3 players.
