The Grand Rapids Minnesota Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the fishing season will cast off in Minnesota on Friday, May 10. The time-honored tradition of the Fishing Opener Community BBQ will return to the Central School Grounds, 10 NW 5th Street, Grand Rapids.
From 4:00-7:00 p.m., participants can enjoy live music, casting contests, food vendors, children's events, and the "Cookie Monster!" Free and open to the public.
