Divas® Half Marathon & 5K Series is excited to announce its return to the “Show Me State.” The Divas’ third annual race in the Midwest will take place on Sunday, May 15th, 2016, and finish in front of the famous Branson Landing Fountains.
“It is so great to come back to beautiful Branson,” exclaims Robert Pozo, Executive Race Director. “Seeing this event going onto its third year is really a great testament to the Branson Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), the city and its departments. Their great partnership and support has been a driving force in making each event a success, as well as making it extremely promising for the 2016 event.”

"The third year of this event will be very exciting as we welcome even more men and women involved in the race, as well as all of the activities surrounding it."
Last year’s event featured approximately 1,500 registered runners. This year, the Divas staff anticipates another great showing, if not greater.
“This year’s event encompassed a beautiful course which included some of the most picturesque areas of Branson,” says Pozo. “The start and finish by Branson Landing was only surpassed by the fountains and water show in the background. I truly believe that as much as Branson is known for being the music city it is quickly becoming an incredible sporting location as well.”
The weekend kicks off with an all-day Health & Fitness Boutique on Saturday, May 14, 2016, which offers a unique shopping experience for female runners. The fun continues on Sunday morning at Branson Landing, where participants will gather and prepare for either the 5K at 8:15 AM or half marathon at 7:45 AM.
“Diva stations” will be placed throughout the courses with DJs providing music and entertainment for runners. Divas will receive women’s fit tech shirts, tutus, and boas and tiaras just before they cross the finish line. Bubbly will also be served in order to celebrate the occasion, and the city’s hunks will crown each finisher with a “blinged-out” tiara medal.
