Missouri Travel Council Planning Sports Business Meeting

Missouri Travel Council will host its first-ever Missouri Sports Travel Conference event March 25-27, at Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in St. Charles, Missouri.  Missouri Sports Travel Exchange will bring sport event organizers and right holders from across the Midwest as well as sports tourism representatives from the entire state for two nights/three days of one-on-one appointments, education and networking. 

Preliminary Agenda

Monday, March 25

Arrival 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Registration Ameristar Lobby

3:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. St. Charles Sports FAM (By invitation only)

Transportation will be provided departing from Ameristar at 3:00 p.m. The St. Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau will offer a tour of the following facilities:

CarShield Field (hosts MSHSAA State Baseball, hosted the 2018 Frontier League All-Star Game)

Rec-Plex (hosts State Wars, hosts MSHAA State Swimming and Diving)

Lindenwood University – Hyland Arena (recently hosted the MIC Conference Gymnastics Championships)

Saint Charles Convention Center (hosts Talent on Parade Talent Show, will host the 2018 Strongman National Amateur Championships in October)

Family Arena (hosted NCAA Women’s Frozen Four, hosted the Missouri Valley Women’s Conference Basketball tournament)

6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Opening Reception (sponsored by the Greater St. Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau)

Join us for an opening night of games, dinner and drinks at the Olympia Athletics & Events Centre. Transportation for non-FAM attendees will depart from Ameristar.

Tuesday, March 26

8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Breakfast Buffet

9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Marketplace Appointments. One-on-one appointments with sport event organizers seated.

1:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch with Keynote Speaker (Lunch Sponsored by VisitCape)

1:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Educational Sessions

3:45 p.m.- 5:15 p.m. Marketplace Appointments

6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Closing Party (Reception/Dinner/Entertainment)

Wednesday, March 27

8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Breakfast Buffet

9:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Marketplace Appointments

Departure

Registration is open for all sport event planners. The fee for registration is $195 per registrant. Registration fees include a two-night stay (Monday- Tuesday) at the Ameristar, all meals that are a part of the event and marketplace appointments. A special room rate of $99 plus tax is available for those wishing to arrive early (Sunday), based on availability. Travel cost to and from St. Charles are the responsibility of the attendee. Free shuttle service is available from the airport to Ameristar. Please complete the planner profile sheet when you register. Your room reservation will be made by our event planner once your registration is paid.

Sport Tourism Representatives: Registration is open for sports tourism representatives. The registration fee is $400 for Missouri Travel Council Members and $650 for Non-Members. The second person rate is $200 for Missouri Travel Council Members and $325 for Non-Members. Note: your membership must be maintained through April 2019 to qualify for the member rate. The first registrant will be the appointment holder. Please complete the supplier profile sheet when you register. A room block has been reserved at Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in St. Charles for sports tourism representatives at a discounted rate of $129 plus tax per night. Cannot attend the 2019 Missouri Sports Travel Exchange? For just $75, your destination profile sheet can be included in the on-site registration packet. Your profile sheet must be 8.5x11 and can be 2 sided. The sheets must be submitted to the MSTE Event Planner by March 1, 2019. A Missouri Travel Council representative will contact you regarding the number of profile sheets you should provide.
