Sports Commission Adds New Board Member

The Springfield Sports Commission recently added a new member to its board of directors.

Janel Wilder, regional marketing coordinator for Buffalo Wild Wings, became eligible to serve on the board when the restaurant joined the Sports Commission at the platinum level of membership. Wilder is the 21st member of the board.

Wilder oversees marketing for eight of 16 Buffalo Wild Wings stores in the franchise spanning southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. A native of Joplin, she spent time in California before returning to Joplin in 2007 and starting her career with Buffalo Wild Wings. Wilder finds inspiration in passionate people, which is shown by her enthusiasm for sporting events and concerts. She is married and has one child.

Memberships in the Sports Commission are available at a variety of levels, including platinum, gold, silver, bronze, associate, lodging and individual.

 The Sports Commission is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life and stimulating positive economic growth by promoting and developing the Springfield area as a sports venue for quality amateur, collegiate and professional sporting events.
