The Las Vegas Marathon will be hosting its inaugural event on November 3, 2024. Its newest sponsor Meow Wolf will offer participants the opportunity to experience an after-party in an immersive art exhibit. Runners can add this upgrade to their race weekend experience when they register at vegasmarathon.com.
As the presenting sponsor and host of the Las Vegas Marathon post-race party, Meow Wolf will also be offering race participants and their guests discounted tickets to enter the Omega Mart exhibit.
According to the Las Vegas Marathon team… ‘This exhibit is an interactive experience that begins in a supermarket that is anything but ordinary and showcases work from international and local artists, inviting visitors of all ages to explore other worlds, immersive storytelling and windows to the imagination. Throughout the exhibit, participants will discover secret portals, play and explore among unexpected landscapes and enjoy the art as they venture through Omega Mart. A family-friendly, accredited Certified Autism Center, Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart is just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip at entertainment and events district AREA15. Included with purchase of a ticket will also be an exclusive souvenir Omega Mart pin inspired by the Las Vegas Marathon.’
“As we’ve been building out the Las Vegas Marathon, we wanted to ensure that participants get the true Las Vegas feel throughout race weekend,” said Kim Kapinos, VP of Partnerships for Brooksee, which produces the Las Vegas Marathon. We are thrilled about this sponsorship as it offers runners the opportunity to keep the party going after they complete their race and celebrate in one of the city’s most unique and memorable experiences.”
Jeff Lund, General Manager of Meow Wolf Omega Mart, said “Participating in a marathon is quite an accomplishment. Participating in one in the neon desert, even more so. “We’re excited to work with the Las Vegas Marathon to welcome racers and friends to our worlds to celebrate. What better place to reflect and unwind than somewhere ‘where reality checks out’?”
The Las Vegas Marathon will feature three distances on race day: a marathon, a half marathon and a 7.02-mile race that spotlights the local 702 Las Vegas area code.
The fast course will lead runners through scenic and iconic areas of the city, including a marathon start line at Red Rock Canyon, a tour through Downtown Summerlin, Symphony Park, 18b Arts District, Las Vegas Boulevard and a finish at Fremont Street Experience.
The event will also feature a finish festival open to spectators and participants. The festival will feature a beer garden, food and beverage offerings, entertainment, photo opportunities, runner recovery and more.
