USA Table Tennis (USATT) CEO Gordon Kaye announced that “Final Table Celebration” of the USATT 2016 US Open will be held at the state-of-the-art The Foundry at SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino (2535 South Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas) on Friday, December 16. Doors will open at 6:15pm, with the Women’s Finals starting at 7:30pm followed by the Men’s Finals at approximately 8:30pm.
The largest table tennis tournament in North America, the 2016 USATT US Open Championships will feature over 800 players from around the world competing for $50,000 in prize money. Highlighting this year’s field of international talent is Taiwan’s Cheng I-Ching, who is currently ranked #7 in the world after her 2nd place finish at the 2016 Seamaster ITTF Women’s World Cup in October. Japan’s Kenji Matsudiara (WR #82) will take on a talented field of men that includes two-time US Open Men’s Singles Champion Thomas Keinath (2009, 2011), 2016 US Olympian Yijun Feng, 2015 US Open Champion Jinxin Wang (China), and 16-year old US Olympian and current US National Champion Kanak Jha.
Tickets to the USATT 2016 US Open “Final Table Celebration” can be purchased at the US Open registration desk in the Las Vegas Convention Center (North Halls) beginning on Sunday, December 11 or beginning at 5:30pm on the night of the event at the entrance to The Foundry (2535 South Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas). Reserved seating is available for $40, and limited seating/standing room general admission is $25. All 2016 US Open players, coaches, and tournament pass holders receive $10 off the purchase of any ticket. Ticket availability is limited, and advance purchase is strongly recommended.
