The Albany Capital Center (ACC) has announced the completion of property renovations that have been underway over the past few months. The updates include the construction of three mezzanines built between floors for storage and additional office space for staff, management and preferred vendors.
Since opening two years ago, the Albany Capital Center has seen a steady increase in business and continues to take advantage of opportunities to diversify its offerings. In 2018 the ACC purchased three full-sized basketball courts, capitalizing on the need for an event space capable of holding large-scale sporting events such as volleyball and basketball tournaments. The basketball courts are one of several items which will utilize the new storage space.
The additional room will also be used by Mazzone Hospitality, which provides the catering for events at the ACC. The remaining space will house offices for the Albany Convention Center Authority, the public entity which maintains the center.

As of spring 2019, the Albany Capital Center has hosted more than 453 events since its opening in 2017 and has generated more than $37 million in new visitor spending.
