US Club Soccer – a prominent member of the U.S. Soccer Federation and the leading organization developing soccer clubs across America – today opens registration for the LaLiga Formation Methodology coaching education course, to be held Dec. 16-18 in the New York metro area.
Raúl González Blanco, LaLiga’s Country Manager in the United States, will attend the course – further exemplifying LaLiga’s commitment to the American game. Raúl also attended the previous LaLiga Formation Methodology course in Chicago in early August.
LaLiga Formation Methodology Level 3 Course
Dec. 16-18; Capelli Sports Center in Carlstadt, N.J./Homewood Suites in Meadowlands, N.J.
This will be the fifth LaLiga Formation Methodology course in the US Club Soccer/LaLiga partnership. More than 600 coaches from 175 clubs/organizations have been educated in LaLiga methodology so far.
“With such strong US Club Soccer membership in the northeast, it makes a lot of sense to bring a LaLiga Formation Methodology course to our members in the area,” US Club Soccer CEO Kevin Payne. “This is a one-of-a-kind course that has tremendous value in not only coaching education but in also accomplishing the Players First mission.”
The US Club Soccer/LaLiga partnership is a staple of the Players First portfolio. US Club Soccer launched Players First in Aug. 2015 as a branded, holistic club soccer experience for parents and players, which emphasizes the development of each individual to his or her full potential, and helps parents make better choices about where their children should play.
Field sessions for this December course will be held at the Capelli Sports Center in Carlstadt, which features two turf fields and serves as the indoor training facility for Cedar Stars Academy and the Goalkeeper Stars Academy. The classroom portion of the course will be held at the Homewood Suites in Meadowlands.
About The Course: LaLiga Formation Methodology courses outline the philosophy and methods used across LaLiga to train, develop and form some of the world’s top players. There are three levels, with Level 3 serving as an introduction to the comprehensive development strategies used by the top professional league in the world. Level 2 will serve as the intermediate stage, and Level 1 expands further on coaching education methods with time in Spain working directly with Spanish academies.
The 2½-day Level 3 course includes theory and practical sessions both on and off the field. Topics include: 1) Methodological Foundations of Training, 2) Structure of Training, 3) Development of the Training Model, 4) Training Tactical Concepts, 5) Training Technique, 6) System Development and Strategy and 7) Training Physical Elements.
The course fee also includes a one-year license for each attendee to Kimet Sport – the software for design, control, evaluation and periodization of training sessions used as for the course and by LaLiga academies, including Real Madrid C.F., FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla FC.
