More than $10,000 in cash and prizes will be on the line at the Little Mountain Queens Cup women's slalom tournament, Aug. 27-28, in Maiden, N.C.
The Queens Cup, with title sponsor Sportsinsurance.com and promoted by area Nautique dealer Race City Marine of Mooresville, N.C., is for women ages 30 and older. It will use a scoring system that counts buoys equally regardless of age group and corresponding boat speed.
A 55-year-old skier whose top boat speed is 32 mph will be scored the same as a 35-year-old who runs the same pass at 34 mph. To read the entire article, click here.
