Hey all you pilots! We've got some major updates for you concerning the upcoming championship. This season has gone by very quickly and there have been some amazing times and video sent in from the qualifiers! It takes 3 pilots to submit in a month to have a chance at being qualified as a school, if a school has less than 3 pilots, times and scores are weighted but still allows an opportunity for individual pilots to qualify. Here is your list of qualified schools and individual pilots for the 2022 CDRC:
Schools
Georgia tech
Air Force Academy
University of North Dakota
University of Central Florida
Virginia tech
Oregon State University
Embry Riddle Daytona
Northeastern University
Pilots
Hudson Tsang (Purdue University)
Jose Heijn (University of Miami)
Ryan Koschay (Michigan State University)
Alex Suarez (York College of Pennsylvania)
The University of North Dakota has been selected to host the 2022 CDRC and the event will take place in the Fritz Pollard Performance Center. Tentative schedule of events is as follows:
Friday, April 8th: Schools drive in/fly in
Saturday, April 9th: 9am Registration, 10am practice starts and moves into qualifying wrapping at 530pm, Networking Reception in Robin Hall from 6-930pm
Sunday, April 10th: Continued qualifiers starting at 8am, championship bracket starting at 11am, final four at 6pm, teardown party, after party 8pm.
Registration will be $35 per pilot. Hotel rooms Friday and Saturday night are likely to be covered entirely by UND. Sunday night hotel rooms will be a minimum of $20 per pilot. The rates for Friday Saturday and Sunday are being confirmed, more to come soon.
If you have not qualified for the CDRC but would like to come to the event and race, get in touch with us on discord, there may still be room for extra pilots.
I hope you're looking forward to the first in person CDRC since 2019 because we sure are!!!!
