Fargo-Moorhead CC set to host 2020 College Championship

The six-sheet Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club (FMCC) in Fargo, N.D., has been selected to host the 2020 USA Curling College National Championship.

The national event featuring the top college curling teams will be contested March 13-15. This will be the eighth national college tournament held under the new, more competitive format. Teams must compete at events throughout the 2019-20 season to secure invitations to the national tournament. 

“We are incredibly excited to have the Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club host our 2020 USA Curling College Championship. This is the College Championship’s first visit to North Dakota, and we appreciate the enthusiasm that we have already received from the organizers,” said Gordon Maclean, Chairman, College National Championship Committee. “Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club is a first-tier facility, and I know that the college curlers who participate in this event will find it an experience of a lifetime.” 

Sixteen teams competed in this season’s national championship with North Dakota State University capturing the 2019 national title.

The FMCC has a long history of hosting successful national events with USA Curling, most recently the 2017 Junior National Championships.
