Being the home to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Hall of Fame Village, Canton, Ohio is attracting visitors from across the nation with an all-star line-up of sports events.
The Fatherhood Festival on Father’s Day weekend, June 17-19, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, is produced by the Fatherhood Institute. The family-friendly event includes a weekend full of on-field sports activities, guest speaking appearances by Pro Football Hall of Famers Anthony Munoz and Mike Singletary, a stadium screening of American Underdog: The Kurt Warner Story on Friday, June 17, a concert featuring country star Jordan Davis on Saturday, June 18, and Father’s Day Hall of Fame Brunch on Sunday, June 19. The USFL (United State Football League) hosts its inaugural semi-final and championship games at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The USFL is a new professional football league that kicked off April 2022. The league consists of eight teams split into two divisions, each playing 10 regular games. The top two teams in each division meet in the semifinals on Saturday, June 25 at 3:00PM and 8:00PM, complete with a concert from country superstar, Trace Adkins, after the first game. For the second year in a row the Women’s Football Alliance – a professional women’s tackle football league –holds its championship games at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10. Saturday’s games feature the Division 3 National Championship at 2:00PM with the Division 2 National Championship game following at 5:00PM. Sunday's schedule features the WFA Xenith All-American Game at 10:30AM, and the WFA Pro AdeNation National Championship game follows at 2:00PM. Football fans head to Canton for the annual gathering of football’s greatest legends during Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week. The Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2022 includes Tony Boselli, Cliff Branch, LeRoy Butler, Art McNally, Sam Mills, Richard Seymour, Dick Vermeil, and Bryant Young. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders kick off the annual celebration in the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, August 4 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Enshrinees receive their Gold Jackets on Friday, August 4, during the Gold Jacket Ceremony at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.
The Class of 2022 is formally enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame at the Enshrinement Ceremony, 12PM on Saturday, August 6, in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The Concert for Legends featuring Journey ends the official events of Enshrinement Week, Saturday, August 6 in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The Fantasy Football Expo returns to downtown Canton at the DoubleTree by Hilton on Friday, August 12 through Sunday, August 14. The expo features over 50 top fantasy football experts in the country, live drafts, panel discussions, fantasy advice and site discussions. The Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic weekend takes place in Canton, September 1-4, 2022. The classic HBCU football experience features tailgates, concerts, marching bands, and community events. The 2022 Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic game features Central State University vs. Winston-Salem State University at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Sunday, September 4. Other highlights of the weekend include the Classic Fun Fest followed by the Faith, Family, and Football Gospel Concert featuring Fred Hammond, both in Centennial Plaza on Saturday, September 3. Festivities before the game on Sunday, September 4, include the Interfaith Service at Centennial Plaza and the Pre Game Party on the campus of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
