Butler County Scores Five Major AAU Girls Basketball National Championships

The Butler County Visitors Bureau (BCVB) announced today that the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) has selected Butler County, Ohio to host the 2019 and 2020 AAU Girls Basketball 6^th Grade National Championships and an unprecedented three AAU Girls Basketball National Championships, 5^th, 6^th and 7^th Grade in 2021. 

The Championships in 2019 and 2020 are each expected to bring in excess of $2.1 million in economic impact to local communities. The 2021 Championships are expected to generate an economic impact in excess of $6.3 million combined. Over the five total championships Butler County will welcome over 20,000 athletes and spectators to local communities.

These major events represent the culmination of years active recruiting work by the BCVB and local AAU Girls Basketball Club, Cincinnati Heat Premier. The selection committee was specifically impressed by the region’s long history of hosting and promoting premier basketball and championship events.
