The Cleveland Marathon announced today that Insight Academy, a private, K-12 school and behavioral clinic located in Berea, Ohio, has joined as Presenting Sponsor for its prize money pool as well as the race’s Elite Program. Race weekend, which features a 5k, 10k, half and full marathon distance as well as a multi-race challenge series and kids fun run, is scheduled to take place May 18th and 19th, 2024.
“Insight Academy’s commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with our mission to provide a world-class platform for athletes to showcase their talents,” said Race Director Ralph Staph. “With their generous support, we are poised to elevate the event’s stature, offering unparalleled opportunities for elite athletes while enhancing the overall experience for participants and spectators alike.”
“This partnership represents a significant milestone for us,” said Insight Academy Founder and CEO Jeremy Meduri. “Our organizations share a deep dedication to fostering athletic achievement and community engagement. We are thrilled to be a part of it, both for its status as a local treasure and as a nationally-recognized distance event.”
Top male and female finishers of the full marathon will each be awarded $2,000 this year. Awards will also be given for the half marathon, those competing in the Masters category, and the marathon’s top male and female Ohioans. The Cleveland Marathon is the region’s premiere distance running event. One of the nation’s oldest marathons, the race continues to dazzle runners as they snake through historic streets, move past national landmarks like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, and enjoy awe-inspiring views of Lake Erie.
The marathon will once again partner with Fleet Feet as its Official Training Partner. Runners of all abilities can sign up for training programs specifically designed for each distance. Training sessions are conveniently located on both the east and west sides of Cleveland. Runners can also obtain information and tips on training, injury prevention and more via online webinars from staff at the University Hospitals Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute, the Official Medical Provider of the Cleveland Marathon.
