The Butler County Visitors Bureau (BCVB), USA Ultimate, and the Cincinnati Ultimate Players Association (CUPA) are proud to welcome the USA Ultimate U.S. Open Ultimate Championships & Convention to West Chester, July 2-5, 2015.
Thirty-six men’s, women’s and mixed teams will compete over four days at the Voice of America Athletic Complex and Lakota West High School. Athletes from the United States, Canada, Columbia, the United Kingdom, Australia and Germany are set to participate in this year’s event. The U.S. Open is expected to draw over 1,500 participants and spectators and pump more than $500,000 into the local economy.
In addition to the spectator and athlete attendance, Butler County will benefit from national television exposure on ESPN. The network will televise games during the four-day tournament, bringing invaluable attention to Butler County and Ultimate athletes.
The 2015 USA Ultimate U.S. Open Championships & Convention builds on Butler County’s history of hosting many national and international championships. This event further positions the area as a premier sports destination to sports organizers across the country. “We are proud to welcome the USA Ultimate U.S. Open and the sport’s top competitors to Butler County,” said Mark Hecquet, Executive Director of the BCVB. “Strong partnerships with CUPA and USA Ultimate have made this event a reality. We look forward to showcasing our community to national and international participants, spectators and television viewers nationwide.”
