Bike Centric, which specializes in ‘one-of-a-kind art, jerseys and cycling related products’, has launched a cycling challenge to ride on the Summer Solstice while supporting local food banks.
Cyclists can register and set their own personal challenge to ride a set distance or time on the Summer Solstice, Saturday June 20.
The cost of registration is C$25 and includes an embordered patch, sticker pack and finish certificate that will be mailed after the event. More than 25% of all registration fees will go to Cornwall Food Banks in Ontario, Canada.
“Because of COVID-19, most cycling events have been cancelled,” said Joe McNamara, Bike Centric founder. “The Summer Solo-stice Challenge seeks to unite cyclists, inspire them to ride and encourage the sense of competition and companionship that the cycling community is well known for.”
Bike Centric has chosen the Rotary Club of Cornwall as the charitable beneficiary of the challenge. This will distribute the money raised to local food banks.
