Eugene, Cascades & Coast welcomes three new team members.
Janelle Breedlove will serve as the Group Housing Manager where she will manage Passkey, an online housing program that streamlines the booking process by managing reservations for multiple properties through one unified system. Janelle will ensure that the needs of all constituents for sports groups – including participants, clients, and hotels – are met and exceeded throughout the process. She will work closely with area hotels, event managers, and meeting planners to provide support and training on the Passkey system, and assist participants with their reservations and payments. Janelle can answer any questions about group housing you might have.
Janelle has lived in Oregon since 1971. She studied Hospitality and Management at Lane Community College in Eugene. Janelle worked her way up the chain to General Manager and has managed several hotels in Eugene and managed a property in Redmond, OR for a couple of years. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, crocheting, crafts and being with her 2 wonderful kids.
Angie Riley will serve as the Digital Marketing Manager where she will manage all online marketing efforts. Angie will do this by managing content strategies across all platforms (websites, e-newsletters, social media, third-party channels, paid digital ads, etc.). Providing content for industry publications, websites, blogs, presentations and marketing tools as needed. She will assist sports planners with local media outreach and press events and respond to media requests for story ideas and fact checking. Angie worked in local broadcast television for 10 years and most recently as the Promotions Director at the local Eugene FOX network affiliate, KLSR. She studied Mass Communications at Southern Illinois University and has lived in the Eugene area for the last 15 years. Angie is also the Head of Marketing for the local Roller derby league, Emerald City Roller Derby, as well as a skater on their charter team.
Joey Jewell will serve as the Director of Sports Sales & Development where he will develop and qualify sales leads for sports events in Lane County, Oregon.
Jewell will represent the Sports Commission at trade shows and related industry meetings and conferences. He will serve on organizing committees for selected events and attend and actively participate in quarterly Sports Advisory Council meetings. Jewell will also be the go-to resource for any questions or thoughts on hosting a sporting event or finding a venue in the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region.
Joey’s background in sports includes work at the Houston Sports Authority of Harris County, University of Texas Athletics Media Relations Office, the Gaylord Texas Resort and Convention Center, and his most recent position at the International Bowling Campus. Joey studied Sports Management at The University of Texas – Austin and has an MS in Sports Administration and Policy from The University of Georgia.
