Hawkins Named to Advisory Board

SportsPITTSBURGH’s Executive Director Jennifer Hawkins has been named to the advisory board of the EventConnect™ Sportology Conference. EventConnect™ is the leading cloud-based event and tournament management system for the sports tourism industry. The Sportology Conference focuses on issues related to sports technology.

Hawkins has been instrumental in the entire process of bidding on, planning and executing numerous, high-profile sports events. Most recently, she served as co-Tournament Director of the 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Wrestling Championships and holds the same position for the upcoming NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship, set for PPG Paints Arena Dec. 19 & 21. 

A member of Women in Sports and Events and the National Association of Sports Commissions, Hawkins is a board member of P3R/Pittsburgh Marathon and Connect Sports’ Executive Advisory Committee.
