The Erie Sports Commission will host athletes and spectators on the beach, fairway and baseball diamond this month, as it is set to host and support six events around the region.
The LECOM Health Challenge continues through Sunday, at Peek’n Peak Resort hosting some of golf’s biggest rising stars as they compete to earn their PGA Tour Card. Complete tour information and schedules are available at www.lecomhealthchallenge.com.
Atlantic Coast Baseball will host its second Erie tournament, Friday through Sunday at Mercyhurst University. This 16U-18U tournament will conclude the series’ first year in Erie, and will feature 10 teams from Pennsylvania, Ohio and Canada. Games run from 1:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Sunday. The full schedule and tournament information is available at http://www.playacbaseball.com/.
Erie Ultimate League will welcome 15 teams to Presque Isle’s Beach 11 Saturday and Sunday for the 17th Annual Don’t Give Up the Disc Beach Ultimate Frisbee tournament. More than 200 participating athletes will travel from Toronto, Boston, Rochester, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and around Western PA to compete in the 4 vs. 4 co-ed tournament. Games will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, with playoffs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday. More information at http://erieultimate.com/.

Pastime Tournaments will host its Great Lakes Super Select Tournament July 27-30 at Mercyhurst University. Twelve teams in the 17U and 18U age divisions will play in the second of two Erie Pastime Tournaments this year. More information is available at https://www.pastimetournaments.com/.
EVP Tour will bring its national beach volleyball tour back to Presque Isle State Park’s Beach 1 Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30 as part of Discover Presque Isle. Saturday’s tournament will feature Pro, AA, A, B and Juniors (12U through 18U) action, while Sunday will see Co-Ed AA, A and B Division competition. More information is available at www.evptour.com.
