Elite Challenge Cup Returns for 4th Annual Tournament

Erie Admirals to Host 140 Teams at Family First Sports Park September 26-27

The Erie Sports Commission is pleased to announce the 4th annual Elite Challenge Cup will be held at Family First Sports Park on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27. The annual soccer tournament is hosted by the Erie Admirals, who expect approximately 140 teams to participate from Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia and Canada.

The tournament will feature boys and co-ed teams ranging in age from Under 8 through Under 14. Each team is guaranteed three games.

Games will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 27. Teams will play on 18 fields at Family First Sports Park.

“Year after year, this tournament proves to be one of the premier soccer events in the region,” said Carrie Shokalook, Tournament Director for the Elite Challenge Cup. “We’re looking forward to hosting teams from far outside the Erie region, and with the help of the Erie Sports Commission, we know we can show them all this area has to offer, along with a great, competitive tournament.”
