Erie Sports Commission Announces Keystone Hoops Schedule

The Erie Sports Commission is pleased to announce the Keystone Hoops Group 2018 Tournament Schedule, which will kick off the season with the Shoot the Rock Summer Tip-Off Classic, held May 5-6.

The Shoot the Rock Summer Tip-Off Classic will be held May 5-6, followed by the Beast in the East NTBA National Qualifier May 19-20, and the Shoot the Rock: Future Stars Classic, held June 9-10. All tournaments will carry a four-game guarantee and are open to boys’ teams in 4th through 11th grade, and girls’ teams from 5th to 11th grade.

The Summer Tip-Off Classic and the Beast from the East National Qualifier Tournaments will be played at the Penn State Behrend Junker Center and at Gannon University’s Recreation and Wellness Center. The Future Stars Tournament will be held at the Gannon University Recreation and Wellness Center.

The tournaments are qualifiers for the NTBA National Championships in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Teams from Ohio, New York, Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Canada are expected to participate.  

“Our tournaments provide youth basketball teams with the opportunity to compete year-round and continue to develop during the off-season,” said Cory Coleman, CEO of Keystone Hoops Group, LLC. “The Erie Sports Commission has been a great help in continuing this tournament series and we are looking forward to a great season in 2018.”

Admission to each tournament is $10 per day or $16 for a weekend pass. Tournament schedules will be available on the Keystone Hoops app prior to each tournament.
