The Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Convention and Visitors Bureau will welcome the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Junior High State Championships on March 3 and 4, 2018 at the 1st Summit Arena at Cambria County War Memorial. The best Junior High wrestlers from 14 areas throughout the state will be competing in the individual’s tournament.
Wrestling begins Saturday, March 3 at 8 a.m. and again on Sunday, March 4 at 9 a.m. with the finals and Parade of Champions beginning at 3 p.m. Admission for adults for both days is $25 and for students is $15. One day passes are also available for $15 for adults and $10 for students.
The Convention and Visitors Bureau is expecting approximately 4,000 visitors over these two days, many of which will be staying at area lodging properties. It is estimated that $1 million will be spent in Cambria County during the event. Johnstown has been host to the Championships since 2016 and won a bid to keep the tournament until 2019.
