The Erie Sports Commission will welcome athletes and spectators from all over the country to the Erie region in June, as it prepares to host eight events over the course of the month. These events will cover 16.5 event days, and are expected to generate more than $1.4 million in estimated economic impact.
The upcoming events include:
Crossing the Frontier 5K/10K– June 2 at Frontier Park
Shoot the Rock: Future Stars Classic– June 9-10 at Gannon University Recreation and Wellness Center
Atlantic Coast Baseball Tournament– June 15-17 at Mercyhurst University
Pastime Tournaments, Super Select T.O.C. – June 21-24 at Mercyhurst University
Erie Poker Run – June 22-24 at Wolverine Park Marina and Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel
Erie Frost Softball: Battle of Lake Erie – June 22-24 at Various Locations
Keystone Bass Buddy Erie Bay Tournament – June 23 at Presque Isle State Park Marina
The Great Inflatable Race – June 30 at Lake Erie Speedway
“June is a month where summer tourism really starts to heat up in our region, and we’re thrilled that so many events have chosen to capitalize on the facilities and resources that we have to offer here this month,” said Ron Sertz, Executive Director of the Erie Sports Commission. “These events represent the diversity that our region offers to sports events.
