Teen Masters Bowling to Debut at Rolling Meadow Lanes in October

The Erie Sports Commission is pleased to announce Teen Masters Bowling will host an event in Erie for the first time Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25. The Teen Masters Erie Open, created by Killer ‘B’ Promotions, will be held at Rolling Meadow Lanes on Zuck Road in Erie.

The event is open to high school and younger students who were born after December 31, 1996. Competitors bowl 12 games in total throughout this high school singles competition – six games on Saturday and six on Sunday. The Erie Open will serve as a qualifying event for the 2016 Teen Masters Championships being held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla next July.

College scholarships totaling $2,500 will be awarded during the Erie Open. The total score from both days of competition will determine who wins the awards given and who can qualify for the national championships.

Entry in the tournament is $49 through October 15, and $55 from October 16 through October 23.

“Erie is a market ripe with bowling talent, so as we looked to establish qualifying events in new locations, it was a clear choice,” said Gary Beck, President of Killer ‘B’ Promotions. “With the assistance of the Erie Sports Commission, we hope to have a long time home for this competition in Erie.”

“Gary has traveled across the country producing top-notch bowling events, so we are excited that he has agreed to come to Erie and do the same,” said Ron Sertz, Executive Director of the Erie Sports Commission. “The Erie Sports Commission is looking forward to making certain that this event becomes a highlight of his event calendar.”
