North Coast Bass Association Announces 2015 Tournament Schedule

The Erie Sports Commission is pleased to announce the 2015 tournament schedule for North Coast Bass Association (NCBA). The 2015 schedule is highlighted by the Presque Isle King of Bass Tournament, sponsored by Field and Stream.

The two-day King of Bass Tournament will be held Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16 and will be open to all navigable waters. Anglers will be challenged to catch only largemouth bass on Saturday, and may catch either large or smallmouth bass on Sunday. Each day carries a four-fish limit.

Entry to the King of Bass Tournament is $300 per team, and the guaranteed first-place payout is $5,000. The King of Bass will be decided based on a point system distributed each day according to greatest weight after penalties.

“The NCBA Tournaments were very successful and a lot of fun in 2014, so we decided to go bigger and better for 2015,” said Aaron Gast, Tournament Director. “King of Bass is going to be a huge tournament for Erie’s fishing event calendar this summer. Our partnership with Field and Stream and the Erie Sports Commission is going to be very valuable in ensuring the success of this tournament.”

“Aaron puts on a great fishing tournament,” said Ron Sertz, Executive Director of the Erie Sports Commission. “Add that to the plentiful waters of Presque Isle Bay and Lake Erie, and I’m certain this will be a tournament no angler will want to miss.”

NCBA will also hold two NCBA Open Team Tournaments and 12 NCBA Thursday nights. The two NCBA Open Team Tournaments will be held on Saturday, July 11 and Saturday, July 25. Those tournaments will begin on Presque Isle Marina Ramp and are open to all navigable waters. The 12 Thursday nights begin at Presque Isle Bay on June 18.
