The 2015 Pennsylvania State Youth Bowling Open Championships are ready to roll into Erie, with competition beginning Saturday, April 11. The Erie Youth USBC Bowling Association will host the championships over a span of three weekends on April 11-12, 18-19, and 25-26. All competition will be held at Eastway Lanes and Greengarden Lanes.
Four competitive divisions will be part of the event, including Four-Person Team Event Divisions, Singles Event Divisions, Doubles Event Divisions, and All Events Divisions.
Team Squad Times will begin at both venues at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. on each Saturday of competition (no 5 p.m. squad will be offered at Eastway Lanes on Saturday, April 11), and at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on each Sunday of competition. Doubles squad times begin at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Sundays. Singles event squad times begin at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Saturdays (no 3:30 p.m. squad will be offered at Eastway Lanes on Saturday, April 11), and 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Sundays.
Entries are open to USBC Youth members. Walk-in entries will be accepted until one half hour prior to squad start times.
An estimated $30,000 in scholarships will be awarded to participants as prizes throughout the competition.
The competition was last held in Erie in 2010.
