For the first time ever, Pittsburgh welcomes some of the nation’s top NCAA women’s bowling teams for the 2023 National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Pittsburgh Regional Championships. The competition, co-hosted by Duquesne University and SportsPITTSBURGH, is set for AMF Mt. Lebanon Lanes April 7-8.

The competition is one of four regionals taking place this weekend. Four teams – Nebraska, Mercyhurst, Stephen F. Austin and Duquesne – will compete for the right to advance to the NCAA Championship in Las Vegas.

“Duquesne University is honored to host the NCAA Collegiate Women’s Bowling Regional Championships,” Duquesne Vice President of Athletics Dave Harper said. “We’re also beyond proud to have a qualifying team competing with hopes of moving on to the finals, especially since this is the first time the competition is being held in Pittsburgh.”

Duquesne bowling became the third program in the school’s history to earn multiple NCAA Championship appearances, joining men’s basketball and football, when it was awarded one of eight at-large berths to the 2023 NCAA Bowling Championship last week. The Dukes will face Stephen F. Austin in the opening round.
