
Numerous Major League Fishing (MLF) pros that are competing this week at the Bass Pro Tour Stage 3 at Lake Murray will use their ‘off day’ Wednesday to volunteer at the Minn Kota Habitat Restoration Event at Lake Murray and visit with students at Piney Woods Elementary School. Each event will feature MLF Bass Pro Tour pros as well as opportunities for autograph/photo sessions and more. All activities will take place on Wednesday, March 5.

Minn Kota Habitat Restoration Event NOTES:
The 14 pros that will be attending the Minn Kota Habitat Restoration Event on their off day are Justin Cooper of Zwolle, Louisiana, Alton Jones Jr. of Waco, Texas, Alton Jones Sr. of Lorena, Texas, Gary Klein of Mingus, Texas, Bobby Lane of Lakeland, Florida, Jeremy Lawyer of Sarcoxie, Missouri, Ron Nelson of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Skeet Reese of Auburn, California, Mark Rose of Wynne, Arkansas, Fred Roumbanis of Russellville, Arkansas, Greg Vinson of Wetumpka, Alabama, David Walker of Huntingdon, Tennessee, Jacob Wall of New Hope, Alabama and Jacob Wheeler of Harrison, Tennessee.
In partnership with South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), Major League Fishing (MLF) pros and staff from the Bass Pro Tour along with volunteers from local college and high school fishing teams will assemble and deploy artificial bass habitat – made of recycled PVC habitat products provided by MossBack Fish Habitat – into Lake Murray.
Piney Woods Elementary School Visit NOTES:
The four pros that will be attending the Piney Woods Elementary School event on their off day are Brent Chapman of Lake Quivira, Kansas, Mark Daniels Jr. of Tuskegee, Alabama, Todd Faircloth of Jasper, Texas and Jared Lintner of Covington, Georgia.
MLF pros will be meeting with the entire fourth grade class at Piney Woods Elementary School, discussing conservation and fish identification, answering questions, providing fishing tips and participating in autograph/photo sessions.
MISC. NOTES:
The Bass Pro Tour features a field of 66 of the top professional anglers in the world, competing across seven regular-season tournaments in 2025 around the country, for millions of dollars and valuable points to qualify for the annual General Tire Heavy Hitters all-star event and the REDCREST 2026 championship.
The third stop on the 2025 Bass Pro Tour will kick off Thursday morning, March 6, with the PowerStop Brakes Stage 3 at Lake Murray Presented by Strike King event. The four-day tournament, hosted by Capital City Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board, will showcase pros competing for a top prize of $150,000.
