Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced that after the success of the inaugural event in 2012, it will hold the 2nd annual Directors of Tennis Conference, October 22-24, 2013. It will be held at the Shipyard Beach Club on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
“We recognize that the tennis industry needs to offer more business development opportunities for tennis directors,” said Dan Santorum, CEO of PTR. “After the success and positive feedback from last year’s Directors of Tennis Conference, we know PTR is on the right track to strengthening our profession, tennis facilities and our sport.”
The format is similar to most conferences with experts presenting on a wide spectrum of topics that will allow broad based learning experience. Each day will close with peer to peer round table discussions, so attendees can brainstorm and share their best practices.
The conference is limited to 75 attendees who are Directors of Tennis and is on a first come first served basis. A variety of topics relevant to directors of indoor, resort, country club and private facilities will be addressed by a faculty that includes Directors of Tennis and Consultants, Doug Cash formerly of TCA, Greg Lappin of Lifetime Fitness, Jeff Chandley of Atlanta Athletic Club, and others.
PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 14,600 members in 117 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
