Welcome to Vermillion, South Dakota! One of the oldest cities in South Dakota, Vermillion is home to over 11,000 people, hundreds of businesses, and the University of South Dakota, the state’s flagship liberal arts university.

We’re the proud hosts of the South Dakota Open Pro-Am Golf Tournament, an integral part of The Dakotas Tour. Every year, hundreds of professionals from across the states (and even internationally) join Vermillion locals for three days of golf at The Bluffs Golf Course, an upscale 18-hole Championship course located on the beautiful Missouri River Bluffs. In addition to our golf facilities, we’re also the home of a humble baseball diamond in Prentis Park, which hosts hundreds of players every year at local and state youth tournaments.
