Chattanooga is Tennessee’s title town, known for hosting annual sporting events, including the upcoming Blue Cross Bowl taking place in the Scenic City. Chattanooga Sports, a division of Chattanooga Tourism Co., hosts an average of 80 different events each year across 35 sports.
The Tennessee High School Football Championships, better known as the Blue Cross Bowl, is hosted by the century-old Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association and takes place at Chattanooga’s own Finley Stadium December 5-7. Tickets are $20 cash at the gate.

Finley Stadium, where the Blue Cross Bowl will be played, opened in 1997 and is a 20,421-seat stadium with 32 luxury sky boxes with nearly 3,500 chairback seats. Besides serving as the home of Mocs Football, Finley Stadium hosted the NCAA FCS National Championship from 1997 to 2009. It is also host to international and high school soccer, including the U.S. Women's National Team, high school football, national lacrosse tournaments, concerts, the Chattanooga FC and other community festivals.
More than 20,000 people descended on Chattanooga in the summer for the 2024 Scenic City Summer Champion title in softball. The sporting event schedule is packed with events from tournaments to IRONMAN competitions.
