Visit Knoxville is delighted to announce that the revolutionary event, Music: Best Served Cold, a collaboration between ice skating group Ice Cold Combos and Virginian band The Northerners, will be coming to Knoxville. The show will be performed from June 26th - 28th at 7:00pm, located at The Ice Chalet. This show offers an immersive and involved experience for the viewer with 360 degree views of the action.
"It's not every day that we get to see such a unique mixture of art and athletics," Visit Knoxville president Kim Bumpas said. "Ice Cold Combos has been a delight to work with, and we're looking forward to future opportunities."
Music: Best Served Cold sets itself apart from traditional ice shows by incorporating live folk-rock music into the mix. Eleven World-Class Skaters from all over North America will be performing in the show. Breaking the stereotype of classical music and fancy dress typically associated with ice skating, Ice Cold Combos' partnership with The Northerners offers a completely new angle on each form of entertainment.
The experience as an audience member has been likened to that of listening to a local band play at a bar. However, in this case, the audience is in the middle of the action as opposed to just watching. The performers will mingle with the viewers between sets of hard-hitting numbers combined with equally intense choreography.
