The Dallas Sports Commission announced today the kick-off to their 5-Year Anniversary celebration with a year-long program will include community initiatives and Dallas sports experience giveaways that all members of the Dallas community can participate in.
“It has been a privilege to lead the team at the Dallas Sports Commission for the past five year as and to see the great events we’ve brought for Dallas residents to enjoy,” said Monica Paul, Executive Director of the Dallas Sports Commission. “Our mission is to position Dallas as a premier sports destination for sports and entertainment events, championships and competitions that have a positive impact on the economy and the quality of life for our residents. While it is our goal to make Dallas known around the world, we also remain invested in our community and want to share our anniversary with Dallas.”
On Tuesday, November 5th at 12 noon, the Dallas Sports Commission will announce on its website (www.dallassports.org) limited-time giveaways to kick-off the 5-Year Anniversary celebration. Fans may go on the website and select from several gift offers that include:
- Dallas Mavericks: Discounted tickets to the Nov. 6th and Dec.4th games
- Dallas Stars: Buy One, Get One Free ticket offer for the December 10 game vs. New Jersey
- Dallas Marathon: $19 entry fee for Friday Night Lights on December 13
- Dallas Marathon: $25 VIP Runners Lounge Experience
- Dallas Renegades: Discounted ticket offer for a 2020 home game
- Dallas Wings: Buy One, Get One Free ticket offer for a select 2020 home game
- National Soccer Hall of Fame: Buy One, Get One Free admission ticket offer
- SMU Mustangs: Discounted tickets for the Nov. 30th football game vs. Tulane
The Kick-Off offers will be available until Thursday, November 7th at 11:59 p.m.
At the beginning of each month through September 2020, the Dallas Sports Commission will release details for the monthly community initiative for that month. The monthly community initiatives for the Dallas Sports Commission 5-Year Anniversary Celebration will begin on Veteran’s Day, November 11th, with a salute to veterans and the military.
The Dallas Sports Commission will also announce at the start of each month through September 2020 the opportunity for sports fans to win a monthly experience package by registering at dallassports.org. Packages may include tickets, merchandise, hotel stays, dinners and more. The November experience package giveaway will begin on November 8th and will be centered around the upcoming Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic at Cotton Bowl Stadium on January 1, including four tickets to this bucket-list event!
The Dallas Sports Commission over the past five years has produced an economic impact of more than $2 billion from over 300 sporting events and competitions, bringing in nearly five million visitors to the city and booking more than 1.5 million hotel room nights.
