USA Table Tennis will return to Fort Worth for the 2023 USA Table Tennis National Championship and the US Para Open. More than 800 athletes from 30+ countries will compete in the National Championship and another 200 athletes will participate in the US Para Open. The event will take place on July 3-7, 2023 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
“We are extremely honored that USA Table Tennis has entrusted us to host such a prestigious event that will welcome athletes from around the world to Fort Worth,” said Jason Sands, executive director of the Fort Worth Sports Commission. “We look forward to the opportunity to once again work with our dear friends at USA Table Tennis to create an unforgettable experience for players, coaches and fans alike.”
This marks the third time USA Table Tennis has hosted a major championship in Fort Worth. In 2019, the Fort Worth Convention Center hosted the USA Table Tennis US Open. In 2022, they hosted the USA Table Tennis US Nationals.
“We have an amazing partnership with Fort Worth Sports and all of the people who support athletic events in Fort Worth, particularly the leadership and staff at the Fort Worth Convention Center,” said USATT Chief Executive Officer Virginia Sung. “USATT has found the gracious and hospitable people of north Texas to be genuine friends of our members, our tournament participants and patrons and our sport.”
