The American Collegiate Hockey Association, a proud member of USA Hockey and an organization of more than 500 college and university affiliated hockey programs, will make history when all five ACHA divisions—Men’s Divisions I, II and III and Women’s Divisions I and II—host their national championships together for the first time in the Dallas-Fort Worth area this week. Dates are now through March 31.
Beginning yesterday, the 2019 ACHA National Championships are featuring more than 1,500 players from 72 teams across all five ACHA divisions to compete in more than 100 games through March 31 at the newly named Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas, and Children’s Health StarCenter in McKinney, Texas and Children’s Health StarCenter in Plano, Texas.
The event, held in conjunction with Visit Frisco and the Dallas Stars, is expected to generate an estimated 5,000 hotel room nights and approximately $8 million economic impact.
Men’s Division I begin Thursday, and Men’s Division II begins Friday. Men’s Division III begins March 26, while both Women’s Divisions I and II begin on March 27. Full Schedule and info can be found at http://bit.ly/achanationals2019.
More than 1,500 players from 72 American Collegiate Hockey Association teams will be present, including the University of Central Oklahoma (2017 Men’s D-I Champions), University of Oklahoma (Men’s D-I), University of Arizona (Men’s D-I), Michigan State Univeristy (Women’s D-I), Boston College (Women’s D-II) and Liberty University (2018 Women’s D-I Champions).
