The Dallas Cup is the most prestigious youth soccer tournament in the United States and it is widely regarded as one of the most competitive in the world. Dallas Cup was founded by the Texas Longhorns Soccer Club in 1980 as a way for the club to return the friendship shown to their teams that had traveled throughout Europe.
Dallas Cup has built a reputation of ensuring high quality competition on the field and extraordinary Dallas hospitality off it. This recipe for success helps attract the best teams from across the globe. Teams from Germany, England and Mexico laid the foundation in Dallas Cup I, and the tournament has grown to include teams and referees from over 47 states and 100 countries covering 6 continents. Dallas Cup has had the honor of hosting world premier teams such as Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona, Arsenal, Club America, AC Milan, Sao Paulo, Ajax, Paris St. Germain, and Boca Juniors.
adidas Lone Star Classic

The adidas Lone Star Classic is the second largest volleyball tournament in the world with over 1,850 teams participating every April at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas. As the largest of all the USA Volleyball National Qualifiers, Lone Star Classic attracted around 200 college recruiters in 2019. With more than 65,000 in attendance, the Lone Star Classic also hosted some of the top collegiate teams in the country at their College Showcase.
REMOTE VEX ROBOTICS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The REC Foundation's VEX Robotics World Championship, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest robotics competition in the world, is a week-long event celebrating hands-on STEM learning. The world's top teams will gather to compete in robotics competitions focused on creative design and problem solving.

BMW Dallas Marathon

2020 marked the 50th Anniversary of the Dallas Marathon, but due to COVID the event has been postponed until April 2021.
runDallas, a nonprofit organization with a focus on promoting health and physical fitness through running events and related activities. Established in 1971, the history of the organization encompasses tremendous growth and produces what has become Dallas' largest and Texas' longest running marathon, the BMW Dallas Marathon, as well as several other weekend event options including a Half Marathon, 50K Ultra Marathon, 2-person half marathon relay, 5-person marathon relay, 10K, 5K, the Friday Night Lights Mile and various Kids Races.
Running the marathon in Dallas highlights the city's most vibrant neighborhoods, entertainment districts and iconic Dallas landmarks. Hundreds of thousands of spectators join in BMW Dallas Marathon Day – the second Sunday of December – lining the streets and neighborhoods to cheer on participants in a race that is recognized as the official marathon of the City of Dallas.
