Irving, Texas will again host the USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival in 2023 as the 2023 USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival is scheduled to take place April 19-23, 2023 in Irving, Texas.
The new Multisport National Championships Festival encompasses six of USA Triathlon’s National Championship events, bringing to Irving the nation’s best multisport athletes who will compete for age group national titles in the following National Championships:
Showcasing the sport’s offering of multiple race formats, the Multisport National Championships Festival will include eight National Championship events:
- Draft-legal Triathlon National Championships
- Duathlon (run-bike-run) National Championships
- Aquathlon (run-swim-run) National Championships
- Aquabike (swim-bike) National Championships
- Super Sprint Triathlon Time Trial National Championships (non-drafting)
- Super Sprint Duathlon Time Trial National Championships (non-drafting) *new for 2023
- Age Group Triathlon Mixed Relay National Championships (draft-legal)
- Age Group Duathlon Mixed Relay National Championships *new for 2023

Athletes ages 14 to 86 from 45 states and Washington, D.C., will compete in Irving at Levy Event Plaza, which opened in 2020 along Lake Carolyn as a dedicated outdoor hub for Irving community events. Athletes will swim in Lake Carolyn and the bike and run courses will take athletes on rolling hills through the main thoroughfares of Irving, including Las Colinas Boulevard, Lake Carolyn Parkway and Royal Lane.
In addition to racing for age group national championships, athletes will also have the opportunity to qualify to represent age group Team USA at 2023 World Triathlon Age Group World Championships. With the opportunity to race multiple events over the four-day span, more than 50 athletes will attempt to race five or more events for the chance to earn the title of “Multisport Master.” Athletes crowned as Multisport Master will receive a special belt buckle and be honored at the final Awards Ceremony on Sunday evening.
For the first time, USA Triathlon is hosting a one-of-a-kind Awards Ceremony and Celebration Lounge each night of the event Thursday-Sunday, featuring live music, race highlights on a jumbo inflatable screen, Mamma Tried Irving bar cart, jumbo lawn games and more. Friday and Saturday night’s Award Ceremonies will be hosted at the Texas Lottery Plaza, with Thursday and Sunday’s ceremonies taking place at the Levy Event Plaza Awards Stage. All ceremonies are open to public and the local community is encouraged to join and participate.
2023 MULTISPORT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS FESTIVAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration for the 2023 event is open now for 2022 event registrants, with early-bird pricing starting at $55 for the Super Sprint Triathlon Time Trial National Championships. Registration will open to the general public on May 9. No qualification is required to register.
